The Worlds Visits 3 Continents!
This fall the 2010 World Championships team’s agenda included visits to three continents. The organizing committee headed to the land of kangaroos (excuse the cliché) for the 2009 Canberra World Championships, where the torch was officially passed on.
Our journey continued with a visit to our Swiss cousins at Grand Raid Cristalp, a bike festival equivalent to Vélirium and Raid Vélo Mag (77 km between Québec City and Mont-Sainte-Anne). European endurance racers jumped at the chance to test themselves at Raid Vélo Mag in 2010,
The organizing committee then headed to Las Vegas for Interbike. This massive tradeshow—you need three days to see it all, which may be even tougher than Raid Vélo Mag—was a fantastic opportunity for the World Championships team to network with the industry, meet with the media, and work on current and future partnerships.
