Igloofest returns to downtown Quebec City for the official Jamboree party

Snowboard and ski enthusiasts and electronic dance music fans alike will be happy to hear it’s a go for Igloofest on Saturday, February 11. The official party for the Jamboree presented by Vidéotron Mobile kicks off right after the FIS World Cup finals at L’Îlot Fleurie in downtown Quebec City. Whatever the weather, the Bud Light party zone will be the place to be in Quebec City to party under the stars in a festive atmosphere with the massive Big Air ramp as a backdrop.

“We had a blast the first time we came to Quebec City last February, and I’m stoked we’ll be back again in 2017 as part of the Jamboree,” said Pascal Lefebvre, CEO and co-founder of Igloofest. “What better way to combine winter fun and electronic music than by firing up the Igloofest flame for a freestyle ski and snowboard party!” This is a free party and there willl be a bar service and a food truck on site. “L’Îlot Fleurie on grand final night, that’s where all the magic will happen,” says Patrice Drouin, President of Jamboree event producer Gestev. “We’re building the stage right into the Big Air ramp structure and projecting Black Out Design graphics on there. The whole site is really impressive and when it’s filled wiith thousands of people it’ll be truly awesome.”

Grandtheft headlining the event
Igloofest has hand-picked a stellar lineup to get the crowd pumping for the World Cup afterparty. Topping the bill is Grandtheft, the Toronto-based DJ/producer renowned for his eclectic beats, who’ll be spinning his own compositions and remixes that have lit up dancefloors all around the world. Renowned as one of the country’s top DJs right now, Grandtheft and his productions have earned support and respect from the likes of dance music giants Diplo, Calvin Harris, A-Trak, Flosstradamus, Skream and Zeds Dead.
