"Big Time" is a one-woman show performed by Coco Makmak that humorously and insightfully explores the contradictions, flaws, and richness of Lebanese culture. Through a range of themes that are both sensitive and necessary — everyday fraud, ingrained racism, Christian-Muslim marriages among Lebanese, and cultural clashes between the French and Lebanese — the show provides a biting yet tender look at a society constantly teetering between tradition and modernity.
