Nearly 8,500 participants expected on May 3 and 4
Lévis, Wednesday, April 30, 2025 – Excitement is running high as the Promutuel Insurance Lévis Half-Marathon prepares to launch the 2025 Je Cours Qc season this Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4. With nearly 8,500 runners set to hit the course, the event is officially sold out for the third consecutive year—setting a new record for participation.
Now in its 21st edition, the city of Lévis will welcome thousands of participants tackling various distances over the weekend: the Youth Race (2 km), the 5 km Lévis Subaru, and the 10 km Sports Experts on Saturday, followed by the 21.1 km Promutuel Insurance Lévis Half-Marathon on Sunday. Introduced last year, the two-day format is back, offering an enhanced experience on the course and at the finish line.
With 15% more participants than in 2024, this edition marks a new milestone and confirms the event’s growing popularity.
“This year, the Promutuel Insurance Lévis Half-Marathon is seeing participation numbers on par with the Québec City Marathon in 2022,” says Marianne Pelchat, Executive Producer at Gestev. “It’s a strong signal that the running community is more engaged than ever, and that our commitment to creating memorable experiences is making an impact. I can’t wait to see the energy of race weekend come to life.”
Due to ongoing construction on Boulevard Guillaume-Couture and road closures planned for both race mornings, participants are advised to plan their travel accordingly. Parking near the finish line at Juvénat Notre-Dame is prohibited. Free shuttles will be provided for spectators between the shuttle site in the Saint-Romuald Industrial Park (2nd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue) and the finish line area.
Start Lines by Event
All Saturday events (May 3) begin along the bike path:
- The 5 km Lévis Subaru starts near Parc Nautique Lévy
- The 10 km Sports Experts begins near Joliet Street
- The Youth Race (2 km) kicks off on Rue de l’Hébreux
On Sunday, May 4, the Promutuel Insurance Lévis Half-Marathon (21.1 km) starts near Galeries Chagnon, close to Sports Experts.
A Shared Finish Line for All
Regardless of their starting point, all participants will cross the same finish line at Juvénat Notre-Dame in Saint-Romuald. Every course takes runners along the scenic Parcours des Anses, which follows the St. Lawrence River and is regarded as one of the most beautiful bike paths in North America.
