FLASHDANCE - The Musical

The Flashdance phenomenon comes to life on stage in an all-new Québec adaptation by Gestev!

Inspired by the iconic 1983 film, FLASHDANCE – The Musical tells the story of Alexandra “Alex” Owens, a young Pittsburgh welder by day and dancer by night with one big dream: to attend the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy and turn her passion into her future. Through love, friendship, social barriers and a quest for independence, Alex must find the courage to believe in herself, stand her ground and seize her chance.

All the energy and iconic spirit of the ’80s will come to life in a large-scale production where dance takes centre stage, set against a vibrant backdrop that blends the era’s excitement with Pittsburgh’s industrial character. And, of course, there is no Flashdance without its music: unforgettable hits including “What a Feeling,” “Maniac,” “Manhunt,” “Gloria” and “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” will be performed in their original English versions.

A story of passion, perseverance and pushing beyond your limits that reminds us that sometimes, you have to dare to take your place to make your dreams a reality.
