Michèle Torr performs at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal!

Along with Sylvie Vartan and Françoise Hardy, Michèle Torr was one of the most popular singers of the 1960s and 1970s in France, whose popularity spread to Quebec thanks to the song Emmène-moi danser ce soir.

Accompanied on stage by six musicians, Michèle Torr will perform all her greatest hits at the Casino: Une histoire d'amour, Je t'aime à l'italienne, Une petite française and Je m'appelle Michèle, as well as more recent songs from her latest album. Then as now, her musical style is mainly influenced by rock'n'roll and yéyé, with melancholy melodies and romantic lyrics.

Michèle Torr's career totals 60 years, 22 albums and 465 songs. She has twice won the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest, appeared in three films, including Le diable aime les bijoux with Donald Lautrec, and written two books. Having started singing when she was just 15, influenced by Édith Piaf whom she adored, Michelle Torr has devoted her whole life to music.
